In a conversation I had this morning, with someone close to me, we were talking about next steps in their project. What occurred to me during the conversation was in sharing my progress with them, I talked of the years it took to get where I am today.
Not days, weeks or months but years.
I surprised myself when I shared some tactics with them that I “recently” learned of over the period of the last two to three years.
They talked about everything they were doing. In the last month. Where little progress has been seen as of yet.
Life is different than planting a seed in the ground and simply watching it grow.
It resembles more of the work of a sculptor or an artist, toiling daily in their studio to create something of value.
What is sad, is that it’s hard for us to relate because of the digital nature of our lives and the speed of a click using a mouse. And hard to appreciate the amount of work that went into something we see of value.
