Tell me what you know and I can begin to see the walls around you.
Tell me where have you been and I can begin to understand who you are.
Tell me who you are with and I can begin to see the patterns of your life.
Tell me how you spend your time and I can begin to see how much you really care.
I’ve told many what I knew and found that I knew little.
I’ve told many where I have been and found how small my world really was.
I’ve shared who I have been with and found that most were too much like me.
I’ve looked at the time spent and found that while I cared,
There are more things than I thought that mattered.
Today I must begin the difficult work of changing the story of what do I know
Needing only the courage to dare.
